response: what we do
Our Services
basic needs
HOPES provides school uniforms (shirts and pants), shoes, coats, hats, gloves, eyeglasses, and hygiene products to students. HOPES also works with MPS social workers to provide ready-to-eat food for students to take home on the weekends. Meeting some of these basic needs allows the children and their families to shift their focus from survival to education.
Tutoring
The HOPES tutoring program provides academic support and mentor relationships with students. Students engage with tutors in Bible study, reading enrichment, and math enrichment.
We are always looking for new, committed tutors and volunteers to join us in our tutoring ministry. Please contact us if you are interested in serving.
School Support
Teachers and administrators face many obstacles in providing an effective and positive learning environment. HOPES works to support teachers and administrators in overcoming those obstacles, striving to provide any requested support.
